Owner / Creator of Opportunities

Rena Gainey

Rena moved from Reno, Nevada to the Quad Cities in 1990, and has since become a transplanted mid-westerner. She quickly began her career with John Deere and worked for nearly 30 years in various functions from information technology to compliance to executive coaching and lastly, leadership development. She managed programs for high-level leaders, including a consortium-based executive education program with the leading business school at Dartmouth College.

Personally, she has traveled to over 30 countries and has a hunger for learning about other cultures, particularly in undeveloped countries outside the US. Rena currently invests in for-profit and non-profit companies by providing coaching, leadership development, and communication skills training. Her recent project is the owner of coworkqc, a collaborative workspace in downtown Davenport, where she continues to work with local entrepreneurs and new business owners.

Her passion is to add value to others, and to help them build the skills they crave to be the best they can be – personally and professionally. The ripple effect is to make a difference to people so they can make a difference to others around them.

Terra is a Quad Cities freelance makeup artist with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.  Staying busy with bridal and event makeup, she loves all aspects and elements of things that go into making people feel and look their best.

Terra has always worked in a creative field – customer service to owning and growing her own jewelry company to makeup to salon management. She loves making people feel confident and beautiful – and knows how to bring out the best in them.

Applying all she has learned wearing many hats, Terra has a great eye for what it takes to make work fun.  She has solid business roots in banking before her creative U-turn, and knows what it takes to make businesses tick.

She is a mom to two amazing teens, wife to Mat, and full-on caretaker of two dogs – Sakari (an adolescent giant malamute) and Casey (an aging golden retriever).  Oh, and did we mention she loves tacos?
