Space Manager and Marketing Specialist (Part-Time)

COWORKQC is a small and innovative female-owned hub for entrepreneurs, small businesses, freelancers, and remote employees located in downtown Davenport, Iowa. Established in 2015, our mission is to provide a workplace atmosphere that inspires creativity, collaboration, and productivity, prompting connection and allowing individuals to build their business, perfect their craft, and reach the full potential of their unique position or trade. The successful applicant will drive community, bring people into the space, and manage daily tasks and processes.

The person who fills this position will work closely with people, will be genuinely interested in collaboration and business development, and will manage the nitty gritty of COWORKQC. A willingness to work in all aspects of running a small business is a must—whether it’s pitching a new marketing plan or hosting a small event or re-filling the snacks or taking out the garbage. 


  • 3+ years work experience 

  • A passion for entrepreneurialism and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Able to work well in a team environment

  • Strong interest in community development

  • Keen knowledge of social media best practices

  • Ability to produce creative and interesting content while maintaining brand and voice

  • Enthusiasm toward networking and inserting self into meetings and seeking opportunities to further brand

  • Ability to take ownership, anticipate potential problems, and offer suggestions and solutions for processes

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Adaptability and flexibility, including learning new software and applications as the coworking space evolves

What You Will Do (Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Nurture coworker relationships and build COWORKQC community

  • Solicit, organize, and execute tours, meetings, conferences, and other events

  • Promote brand daily on key social media platforms

  • Follow processes set for on-boarding, maintaining, and cancelling memberships

  • Plan for, publicize, and manage events (both outside events and member events)

  • Represent COWORKQC in the Quad Cities community

  • Manage (order + refill) conveniences such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.

  • Fill snacks, coffee, take out garbage, and keep kitchen area clean and space tidy

  • Be present in space 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. two days/week (M, T, or TH)
